Goodness me is motherhood interesting! I have never seen so much poop and puke in my life! How great is it though? Makayla is still a great baby. I think when you luck out and get a calm child that is a good sleeper you wait for the drama or colic to come out. Still good here. She is starting to smile and play and it is making going back to work all that much harder. I do miss my peeps at the hospital, and can't wait to bring her next week to show everyone. Makayla got her first cold this week and it has been absolutely terrible! She is so congested and when there is nothing you can do you feel horrible! I tried benedryl and it just wired her. Any suggestions?

The doctor told me that at that age there is really nothing to give them. You just have to let them wait it out. I did get some baby vix though and put it on their chest, forehead and back to help them breathe. That seemed to help. I hope she feels better soon! Love ya!
The first one is always the calm relaxed easy one. That's how God fools you into thinking you can do it again! Trust me!
For the cold, I always (and still do) take my kids in the shower with me and let the steam relieve some of their congestion. Try to elevate her head a little. Use a humidifier, etc. Even at 2 1/2 none of the OTC stuff helps Brysen very much. He has croup right now and sounds like a combo of a frog and a seal!
I am sorry to hear about the cold. I always use a humidifier. I have also tried Vicks on the chest and feet, but that was when Austin was a little older. I hate when they get those because you usually can't do much for it and you just have to ride it out. I am so glad to hear that you are loving being a mom. I am sure you are doing a great job. Aren't kids so rewarding. It is so fun to see the new things they do..even if it is simple. :)
Okay-- I have got to come over. When are you available?
