I am reflecting today. This year will be a big year of numbers for me. 30 years old (oh dear), and 10 years clean. Yep, 10 years clean and sober. WOW. For those of you who don't know what I am clean from, let me give you a run down. I am an addict, always will be, and I still live one day at a time as they say. I was addicted to meth. I lived on the streets, sold drugs, and can't remember a good 5 years of my life. Sad and scary years. I almost died several times, and really shouldn't be here. I still have dreams, in fact, I just had one the other night, about my days as a full blown addict. Ironic I am married to a man who works for Salt Lake County Sheriff's office. Ironic and funny. I used to think all cops were a*%holes. Not mine! In fact, what a man I am married to! LOVE my superman. He gave me my precious baby girl, who I never thought I would be lucky enough to have. How greatful I am to be where I am now. Words I live by: God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Marcie...I am always learning something new about you everyday and I am soo very proud and greatful to know you and know that you are a strong and beautiful woman and I am proud of you of what you have accomplished! Things happen for a reason and you were meant to do what you did to be a stronger person for your daughter and for your hubby. Love you!
You really are amazing! That was cool that you can share that on your blog! You are supposed to be here though to be sweet Mackalyas mommy because you rock :-). It was good to see you the other day. And when is the 30 thing happening?
You are really such a blessing in so many people's lives especially ours. I'm so thankful for you and feel so lucky that you are such a dear friend. Thanks for your openess and honesty, you don't find that so often. You are the best! Love ya!
You're awesome Marci! Congratulations on 10 years. That is a HUGE accomplishment. The serenity prayer is something I think everyone should live by daily. Maybe then we would have more accepting people out there! I'm so glad that we have been able to get to know you guys better. You're a blast! We so need to get together to celebrate our big 3-0 together! Mine is three months from today...YIKES!
